Registration: Visiting families may want to arrive a bit early to meet their child’s teacher and visit their child’s classroom. Parents can fill out the registration form (click here for form) ahead of time and bring it to the Welcome Center, or fill one out when they arrive. Please feel free to contact the Children’s Coordinator if you have any questions.
Worship: Children are invited to worship with their parents for the first portion of the Worship Service. We love to see children join the congregation in singing and praising God. Your child can choose a Worship Bag to occupy them during worship. We have found that when children sit closer to the front, they can more fully participate in the service, as they can see better and feel a part of what is happening on stage.
Nursery Care: Nursery Care is available for infants-age 3. Our nursery is staffed by volunteers who love to hold babies and play with toddlers. The nursery is always open for parents to feed/change their little ones. If you have questions as to when your child will be ready to transition from Nursery to Children’s Worship, please feel free to speak to our Children’s Coordinator.
Children’s Worship: Children are invited to attend Children’s Worship after the singing portion of our service is over. All children begin in our children’s gathering room, where we review our monthly theme and memory verse, take part in a game or skit, and watch a short video, which introduces the weekly bottom line. The children will then split into small groups, based on age, and engage in hands-on games and activities, which lead to a teaching and discussion of Bible stories and foundational Biblical truths.
Children’s Ministry Team: Our Children’s Ministry is led by a Children’s Ministry Leadership Team. Our classes are taught by volunteers who are experienced, creative and capable. All of our children’s volunteers have been screened via a background check and have been trained in safety guidelines, so that every child is cared for in a secure environment. The Children’s Ministry team provides quarterly teacher training.
Parent Partnership: Parents can know what their children will learn in Children’s Worship by reading the weekly bulletin insert, Parent Cue. As the children exit Children’s Worship, they will be given a God Time Card, which offers devotionals that are based on the monthly theme. Children can use these devotionals in their own quiet time or the devotionals can be discussed around the dinner table. Parents can also download the Parent Cue app, which takes the weekly lessons a step further, offering devotions and videos. If your child has any special concerns that we can help you with, please feel free to contact our Children’s Coordinator.
